Goddess of Invidia

The Physical Manifestation
Nyxara is the most visually unstable being in the pantheon. She has a default form, dark as a moonless sky, with the shifting iridescent undertones of a black opal, but it is designed for transformation rather than permanence. Her eyes change colour suddenly and violently, matching the gemstone of whoever she is currently envying. She wears dark gloves to the elbow, partly for concealment, and partly for the comfort of a boundary between her involuntary surface and a world that demands she be something fixed.
The Core Essence
Envy, in its deepest form, does not want what another person has, it wants to be what another person is. Nyxara does not want Seraphyne's beauty or Altharion's certainty, she wants to slip inside their identities so completely that the question of who Nyxara actually is becomes irrelevant. Her fatal flaw is that she has worn so many borrowed faces that she no longer knows which one is hers. The absence of a positive identity is a wound no acquisition has ever filled.
The Divine Domain
The Hall is a realm constructed entirely of mirrors. Nothing is hidden here, and the light fractures endlessly. Mortals who stumble into this domain are called The Unfinished, people in crisis, drawn to a realm that shows them infinite, beautiful alternative versions of themselves. Some fall in love with the reflection and never leave. Through The Becoming, Nyxara can physically replicate another being and temporarily access their power, though it costs her what little remains of her own name.

The story begins where certainty fails
The gods have made their claims. The ten marks are burning. Vael has yet to give his answer.
